The Elms Dental Centre is a family-oriented practice. Our patients range from one year old to a hundred years old. We enjoy having patients who came to our office as children and are now bringing their own children. There are many multi-generational families that are a part of our practice.
Regular checkups are an important part of our oral health. Checkups include full evaluation of your teeth, gums and oral tissues via visual and tactile examination, which may include digital x-rays. Cleanings involve the removal of all calculus (tartar) and debris from your teeth. (Calculus is a hard deposit that can not be removed with a tooth brush and if not removed leads to gum disease and subsequent loss of teeth.)
Teeth break down through wear, fracture or decay. There are a variety of materials for repairing a tooth and bringing it back into good functioning order and excellent aesthetics.
Each tooth has an inner chamber that is home to the dental pulp. When the pulp becomes infected causing pain, a root canal is performed to eliminate sick tissue and replace it with a biocompatible material which allows the tooth to heal.
Dentists are the actual denture specialists. We are trained not only to create a healthy environment for your denture but to adjust teeth to accommodate your dentures’ fit and bite.
We all want to look good. We do a variety of dental procedures including tooth whitening, tooth recontouring and dental vaneers.
Teeth that have large fillings are often weakened because of it, and can be strengthened through a placement of a crown on that tooth. Fixed bridges are a tool used to replace missing teeth.
Our team would be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Together, we’d love to help you make informed decisions about your dental health.
